EcoWool Benefits

EcoCoir Mats come in two sizes (200mm2, 250mm2).

The smaller is ideal for Combiguard and NaturGuard 300 shelters and allows for quicker installation.

The larger is a generic size tailored for all other tree shelters except the 1.2m size. It is ideally used in TriGuard and NaturGuard 450 shelters and both FiberGuard shelters which makes for an extremely fast installation time.

Mats are 1000gsm and come with natural Latex coating to inhibit weed penetration.

100% natural CombiGuard EcoWool mulch mats are manufactured from waste wool. EcoWool allows water penetration and retains moisture in soil. These come as 400 x 200mm and you fold-over to get a double thickness 200mm square mat.

Important Installation Information

When installing the matting, we recommend rolling this out and if using more than one roll, ensure it overlaps by 10cm.
Pinning the matting - At the edges, pin every 0.5m metres and in the middle pin every 1m. 
Planting it out - When planting out, using shears or a sharp pair of commercial scissors, cut an inverted T shape and open flaps to insert plant.

Very popular needle punched type of polyester photodegradable weedmat that has 3 to 4 year UV rating. This product is used extensively in situations where economics are a priority. This product has good hydrophilic properties and allows water to penetrate and soil to breathe.
