EcoWool Erosion Control Blanket – 2.4m x 50m 450gsm

EcoWool Erosion Control Blanket – 450gsm. Manufactured in New Zealand from 100% local wool fibre and Dag Wool, EcoWool EC450 is densely needle punched to provide superior erosion control on slopes and swales to protect soil and seed until adequate establishment is achieved.

EcoWool EC450 is a biodegradable wool blanket used for temporary erosion and sediment control along with landscaping and revegetation applications.

The permeability and moisture retention properties of EcoWool EC450, assist vegetation during dryer climates while providing the needed insulation in cooler months.

  • Reduces planting stress – EcoWool EC450 stays damp for hours and allows effective penetration of water and fertilizer and circulation of air. These insulation properties reducing evaporation by absorbing moisture and in doing so releases heat. This keeps soil temperature up in cold conditions and protects against frosts.
  • Feeds your plants – EcoWool EC450 contains the following nutrients: nitrogen, sulphur, sodium, potassium and magnesium. These nutrients are naturally released into the soil over time.
  • Easy on the eye – Visual pollution is today a greater consideration on revegetation projects than ever before. EcoWool EC450 merges unobtrusively with the natural landscape, however it can slowly bleach in direct sunlight over time.
  • Lasts the distance – EcoWool EC450 is designed to gradually biodegrade over a short-term period after installation (may reduce in wet conditions), providing sufficient erosion control while plants establish.
  • Environmentally friendly – EcoWool EC450 is manufactured from NZ cleaned waste wool and is natural and fully biodegradable.
