Heavy Duty Root Barrier

Migration and spreading of plant roots can cause costly damage to pavements, roads, building foundations and buried installations. Root Barrier can save property owners hundreds of thousands of dollars annually in expensive repair bills from intrusive roots. Made of recycled polyethylene, Root Barrier is lightweight, flexible, yet extremely durable and resistant to UV, chemicals and fungus.

  • Easy to install with a narrow width excavator
  • Provides a barrier against shallow roots, reducing uplifting of sidewalks, etc
  • Redirects roots downwards, to encourage deep rooting to anchor trees and to avoid root circling
  • Cost effective compared to concrete
