This 80gsm weedmat is a 80gsm spun bonded polypropylene that has the properties and advantages of weed suppression and water penetration. 

Important – Before installing mulch matting or weed matting thorough eradication of weeds from the area to be covered is strongly recommended.  We advise spraying the site with a systemic herbicide such as Roundup Renew or Ken-up Aquatic 360, allowing a day or two before installing the matting. Water Retention Crystals are a granular product that can be used as a safeguard against dry conditions. They are used in various Horticultural applications such as native revegetation, tree planting, vegetable gardens or even turf applications. They are specifically designed to increase the water holding capacity of the soil and have the capacity to hold up to 700 times their own weight of water. This product is compatible with all types of soils and growing media.

The 25mm stakes are great for sturdy plant supports and are also ideal for supporting tree protectors. When used for this purpose, we recommend using a stake 300mm higher than the tree shelter i.e. 600mm tree shelter would use a 900mm stake.
