Recyclable Plant Guards

VineGuard is made of twin-wall polypropylene and provides sufficient light for small vines while giving ideal microclimate growing conditions and protection from herbicides and wind. Also guard may be opened for pruning purposes and closed again. The top tab is folded over the trellis wire to provide stability to the guard with a wire clip attached to sleeve it.

Another KBC insurance policy. The KBC TriGuards are suitable for protection against browsing pukekos, rabbits, hares and opossums. Note for hares, we recommend a minimum height of 450mm for a plant guard. 

Translucent twin walled polypropylene design with a welded seam. Provides light for small seedlings while giving ideal microclimate growing conditions and protection from herbicides and wind. Comes flat packed but opens up into an instant “quickfold” triangle with slits precut into wall for stake to slide into. These TriGuards are reusable, and well suited to harsh environmental conditions. In extra windy situations, the welded seam can be pointed in direction of prevailing wind for protection. For added strength, an extra bamboo cane can be inserted inside the shelter at the tip. Made from eco-friendly, UV protected polypropylene that is inert to animals and environment, and recyclable.

Reap the savings of buying our complete SquareGuard units as a combo that includes guard, EcoCoir mat and matching stake. EcoCoir mat has the advantage of quick installation being reasonably rigid and self-supporting. Simply place the mat around the plant then mount the SquareGuard on top. Once the stake is placed through the guard and into the EcoCoir mat, the unit is then securely fixed into place. EcoCoir mat comes with latex coating on one side for better weed suppression.

A combination of a recyclable sleeve 300mmH, natural mulch mat and 4 x bamboo stakes, the CombiGuard is designed for low cost, large scale native revegetation and restoration projects. Enabling the use of lower priced small grade plants, the CombiGuard protects from wind, foraging pests and sprays. Combining extremely high plant survival rates, fast growth and easy maintenance, the CombiGuard is a key product in many planting projects today.

Polythene 120 micron CombiGuard sleeves are photodegradeable and protects plants from the elements, browsing wild animals and herbicides. They will need to be secured with bamboo canes or can be purchased as a combo in the CombiGuard unit with a mulch mat and 4 bamboo canes.

Polythene 150 micron sleeve designed for economical protection against chemical sprays and rabbit damage.

Slit:                   This is supplied as a flat sleeve. For application, wrap around the plant and staple along the overlap. 
Unslit:               This is supplied as a tubal sleeve. For application, simply slide over the plant. No fastenings required. 

Should be secured with bamboo stakes.

The lowest cost seedling protector available. Continuous netting sleeve made from UV stable plastic. Simply cut to length and slide over young seedlings. Protects against browsing rabbits, possum and birds. Very quick to install - great for larger revegetation projects etc. where cost is a major consideration.
